A&S Competition Details
This year we will be doing something a little bit different for the a&s competition format. We still have 3 themes which will all have beginner, intermediate, and advanced category winners. However this year we will not be requiring documentation for beginner and intermediate entries. Instead, we have a prize for best documentation in those categories, which will be graded on a curve based on experience. We just need an explanation of your thing and a name attached.
This year’s themes are:
Flora
Myths and Stories
Winter
You can do any or all of these themes, and they can be a combined item that works for all categories, but you can only win one category overall.
This year we do NOT require any documentation, and points will not be deducted for the absence of documentation. Instead, we have an optional category that you can enter to win called ‘documentation’ which will receive a prize along with the three theme’s winners. You also do not need to have created this item specifically for this competition. As long as you have not previously entered an item into a competition, you are free to submit whatever you would like! The only thing that is absolutely necessary for an A&S entry is the form. The entry form must be submitted with your entry. Please print your forms or send them to me before 15/07 for printing at the event.

Points System
Our points system is made up of 50% of points for participating in or winning A&S and combat and 50% of points for chivalry and grace as chosen by representatives from each College in a “secret shopper”-like system (see the poster below for more details). One of the aims of this system is to recognise the diverse ways people contribute to our Society, including through service, archery, A&S, grace, courage and combat.
Anyone knowing the identities of all the secret representatives is disqualified. Representatives were chosen by the College Seneschals and cannot vote to recognise people from their own College.

Draft Timetable (not finalised yet)
As this is a live link, we will be editing any changes onto this spreadsheet directly, so the link will remain the same, but the details may change. Activities in italics are especially liable to change. If you have any questions or concerns about timetabling please contact Ailbhe for A&S concerns and Rúna for combat concerns.
