Rowany Festival is the largest event in the Kingdom of Lochac, and is hosted by the Barony of Rowany (located in NSW) every year. The event goes for approximately one week, usually around about the Easter time. It is a camping event; portaloo toilets are provided (with soap), and showers do exist, but are only allowed to be used during certain hours (if you can go without, that may be a good idea). There is an entry cost for the event, as well as costs associated with food and transport. If you are interested in going, more specific information can be found here, and talk to other club members (especially the council) for help arranging things (including financial support, if necessary). Also, check out our Guide to Camping Events!
Day of Honour
Day of Honour is an annual event (usually in August) hosted by the Barony of Krae Glas, the local barony to the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It includes a feast and a tournament, with games, song and dancing intermingled throughout the event. It is only a day event, so is a great way to get started with events without investing too heavily. Check out the Krae Glas facebook page or their website to learn more specific information.
The Twilight Tourney series of events takes place across the summer, and is hosted by the Barony of Krae Glas. They take place in the late afternoon/evening (surprise, surprise!), and involve a tournament and a potluck dinner. Check the Krae Glas facebook page or their website to learn more specific information.
Inter-College War is a camping event which is hosted by a different college each year, meaning that it moves around. It is attended by the different colleges, and as such is a little bit… crazy. Or as some might say, awesome. For more information about attending this event, talk to the club council. Also check out a description of the different colleges and our Guide to Camping Events!
